- Your passport or travel document valid for at least six months from the date of your visa application,
- One recent passport size photo, signed and completed application form, available from the consulate or embassy (see address below)
- Application fee of $50.00
- Visa processing may take up to four weeks.
- The visa issued is valid one month for entry within 2 months of the issue date.
The visa application form will ask a reference in Eritrea. Although this may be an Eritrean resident, the Asmara travel agents are more experienced to guide you through the procedures and provide efficient assistence.
Authorized entry / exit points are: Asmara and Assab Airports by air; the ports of Massawa and Assab, Tio Gate, and Gahro Gate by sea; and by land: Zalembesa and Tsorona in Akele Guzai province; Kidad Iqa in Seraye; Talata Asher, Om Hajer, and Shilalo in Gash Setit; Germaika and Malover in Barka; Karora in Sahel; and Lemasin in Denkalia.
For visa extensions you will need a photo. A fee must be paid in euro's or dollars. The original visa can be renewed twice. Extension of your visa should be arranged before your visa for Eritrea expires. Immigration Department tel. 118380, visas tel. 162154.

Fax +291 1 124 847Eri TV is broadcasting internationally via satellite along with its sister radio stations, Dimtsi Hafash and Radio Zara. Broadcasts are mainly in Tigrinya, Arabic, English and Amharic. English language news and programs are broadcasted from 22:00 hours onwards.
There are daily newspapers printed in the local languages (Tigrinya and Arabic) . The Eritrean Profile in English is published on Saturday and Wednesday.
